Welcome from the Headteacher

East Crompton St James’ is a small one form entry Primary School and part of a hard federation with St Thomas’ Moorside Primary school, a few miles away. The schools share the same Governing body and resources across the two schools, including my leadership. Each school has a deputy headteacher who takes responsibility for the day to day running of their school.

Our principles are simple; we work in partnership with parents to provide a happy and purposeful environment for our pupils to learn and reach their potential. We teach a broad and balanced curriculum that is enjoyable, imaginative, creative and challenging ensuring independence of every child.

Staff at school value each child within a Christian Ethos of care, co-operation and friendship. We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with all members of the school and church community and this is integral to the success of our church school. All pupils achieve their true potential by being provided with a strong Christian foundation alongside the highest level of teaching and pastoral support, in order to reach the highest level of academic and spiritual achievement possible.

OUR VALUES

Dear Parents/Carers

The Governors have decided, due to the extreme hot weather over the next few days, school will shorten lunch time to 30minutes and children can be collected from school at 2.30pm for the rest of this week. Children will be released from the classroom door as usual.

Thank you for your understanding.
